This is a very special year for our very special state of New York. As we study what makes our state
the "Empire State", we honor the contributions of past explorers such as Henry Hudson , preservationists such as Theodore
Roosevelt , who worked hard to preserve our natural wonders, and patriots who fought for our independence from Great Britain.
Our field trip to Ft. Ticonderoga on October 16 will help us to better understand the sacrifices of Ethan Allen and
the Green Mountain Boys.
